David and Maureen provided a complete home-from-home in caring for our border collie Byron, he settled with them with no problem. Exceptional dog sitter, the experience was fantastic! It was clear that they had a deep love and understanding of dogs. During their stay, my dog Lincoln received plenty of attention, playtime and exercise. What impressed me most was their reliability and attention to detail - they followed all my instructions perfectly and went above and beyond. When I returned home, my dog was calm and content, a testament to the great care that he received. If you’re looking for a dog sitter who is not only responsible but also truly passionate about dogs, I would highly recommend David.

We were absolutely over the moon with how David looked after Echo for us. Echo has separation anxiety and does not get on with other dogs so finding a sitter for him has been very hard until we came across David, We were sent photos and videos throughout Echo's stay which gave us peace of mind, Echo enjoyed his stay and we will definitely be using David again.

Ruby still requires medication and special care following surgery, everything was given as per vets instructions including a trip to the vets for a check up. Dave and Maureen have gone over and above to provide excellent care for my little dog Buddy on an overnight stay 4/3/25. He is a challenge for a number of reasons so it’s always stressful leaving him with anyone else, but he could not have been better looked after and was totally chilled when we came to pick him up. We cannot recommend Dave and Maureen highly enough.

It is always worrying to leave your dog to home board with someone new for the first time. Will they settle? Be treated kindly? Be exercised and fed as requested? I need not have worried!
It was obvious, from the first meeting, that David loved dogs, and I never doubted Dixie would be properly looked after. Regular messages and videos reassured me daily of how well she was cared for and how settled she was with David.
She was allowed to simply make herself at home, cuddle up to David on the sofa, play with her favourite, and very annoying, squeaky ball and generally act as she does with me every day. I would unreservedly recommend Lucy’s Home Boarding to anyone who cares for their dog’s happiness and well-being when they are away from home.
Bailey (Lorna & Mark)
Dave & Maureen have been the most amazing people looking after our 15-year old Westie. He is too old for to take him on holiday with us, but as we needed a holiday, we knew that we also needed someone to care for our boy as much as we do. They have been kind and considerate of all his needs and also of ours (as doggie parents who aren't used to leaving him with anyone!)
We were delighted with how much detail they went into prior to our first visit. This gave us lots of reassurance that they took all of Bailey's needs into consideration. They went above and beyond to regularly send us video updates about how he was settling into his new home for the week. All of his multiple and complex health needs were taken very seriously and all of his meds were given exactly the way we asked for. His walks were exactly what we needed for Bailey, as an old dog he only likes short walks, but they varied the places they walked him to give him more stimulation. Their home and garden are dog friendly and immaculately clean.
Bailey was a happy boy when we picked him up - so much so he didnt want to leave! That's a good sign that he has been happy.
Harry (Carole)
My dog Harry is a border collie and is obsessed with balls and toys, he also loves to run and chase . He’s not been used to staying with strangers but Harry took to Davey straight away and has stayed with him a number of times. Harry comes home very happy and tired, he’s had lovely walks, lots of attention and great care and fuss from Davey and Maureen. I completely trust that Harry is treated like a member of their family when he visits.
